The NUCON "Corporate Culture" is one of QUALITY and this is one of our highest priorities when working with customers. NUCON employs a comprehensive quality program to insure that all products and services are of the highest quality and will provide the service our customers have learned to expect. NUCON has the formal quality programs in-place as required by our Nuclear and Defense customers, as well as for ASME Section VIII Pressure Vessel fabrication. All NUCON activities are covered by our quality programs and supplemented by detailed and controlled procedures that define how the activity must be performed and documented.
NUCON Document 045 Quality Assurance Program Manual meets all the requirements of the "Code of Federal Regulations, Title 10, Part 50 (10CFR50), Appendix B." NUCON accepts 10CFR21 responsibilities as required by the nuclear industry. Our Quality Assurance Program also complies with ANSI/ASME N45.2 & ASME NQA-1. For defense work NUCON 045 meets the requirements of Military Standards; MIL-Q-9858A & MIL-STD-45662A. Our nuclear customers regularly assess the effectiveness of our QA Program to ensure that it complies with the requirements of the US NRC. Our defense customers audit us to the applicable DOD & DOE Regulations and Standards.
Our rigorous Quality Control System manual, NUCON Document 280 covers the design and fabrication of unfired pressure vessels. NUCON currently holds "U" Stamp Certificates of Authorization. The American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors audits NUCON for compliance to ASME Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII, Division 1. For piping NUCON is qualified to design and build systems per ASME Piping Codes B31.1 "Power Piping" and B31.3 "Process Piping." Our Quality Control System covers all aspects of a project; Engineering, Design, Code and Seismic Calculations, Drawing Control, Purchasing, Fabrication, Inspections, Storage, Special Processes, Testing, and Shipping. When requested NUCON can normally comply with specific customer defined quality requirements.
