F-1000-DG
Model F Aerosol Generator

Testing Applications

  • Nuclear air and Gas Treatment Systems
  • HEPA Filter Systems
  • Clean Rooms
  • Aerosol Trace Studies

The NUCON Model F is a high-output portable thermal aerosol (DOP) generator. It can provide up to 140 g/min of submicron aerosol.

  • All operation is front panel controlled
  • Designed for field use
  • Fail-safe heater control
  • Leak-tight, long life and safe aerosol generation

The NUCON F-1000-DG Model F is unique in its ability to produce large volumes of submicron aerosol in a compact, portable instrument. All critical parameters (temperature, pressure and flow) are precisely controlled for consistent, repeatable performance.
Temperature is controlled by solid-state power controllers with factory set curie point temperature sensors. Flow is set using a built-in liquid flowmeter with a needle valve. A separate quarter turn off/on valve is used to start and stop liquid supplied to the heater without changing the flow rate setting.

A dial thermometer displays the heater block temperature. System pressure and reservoir level and all controls are on the front panel.
Liquid to gas phase conversion takes place in a continuous stainless steel coil cast in an aluminum block held in a stainless steel container. Heater cartridges, thermal sensors, and the dial thermometer are inserted in the block. This ensures maximum thermal conduction and mass, along with maximum safety.
