Adsorber Tray and Cell Refilling Services

Nucon International, Inc. (NUCON) inspection, refilling and testing procedures ensure a refilled adsorber that meets the requirements of ASME AG-1 ANSI/ASME N509, AACC CS-8T and US NRC Regulatory Guides 1.52 and 1.140. Both Type I and Type II cells can be refilled.

The basic refilling service includes:

Receipt inspection by NUCON QA to determine "as-found" condition. If any adsorbers are found to be damaged, the client is notified for disposition.
Removal of old gaskets and/or sealing pads.
Filling adsorbers with adsorbent meeting customer technical requirements. (Per NUCON Proc. 11-3)
Installation of new gaskets and/or sealing pads.
Performance of pressure drop and R-11 leak test (Per NUCON Proc. 11-05)
Applying refilling label to adsorber
Repackaging adsorbers in customer's boxes or containers, when sure are reusable and conform to ANSI N45.2. Packaging includes new plastic wrap (0.006 inch thick).
Supplying COC on adsorbent, gaskets and/or sealing pads and hardware and certified adsorber test results.
Supplying to customer, if requested, a one quart same of the adsorbent batch used for filling, for test canisters.
